Siblings are in a celebration mode as Rakshabandhan is just around the corner. TV actors Rohan Mehra and Ashnoor Kaur are definitely among the lot. The young actors, who were part of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, took their reel relationship of brother-sister too seriously and are today as thick as any siblings. Recently, Ashnoor surprised Rohan on the sets of Sasural Simar Ka to celebrate Rakshabandhan.
Rohan and Ashnoor played on-screen siblings Naksh and Naira in the Star Plus show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, until the leap happened. Rohan and Ashnoor continued with their great camaraderie off-screen too even after they moved on from the show. While Ashnoor was replaced by Shivangi Joshi post the leap, Rohan quit the show last year to participate in Bigg Boss. He is currently part of Sasural Simar Ka. Even though the duo have been busy in their lives, they manage to squeeze out time for each other on special occasions.

Sharing his excitement of celebrating Rakhi with Ashnoor, Rohan said, “It is like a ritual for us now. I am really fond of Ashnoor and we have had some amazing time while shooting for Yeh Rishta. It feels great that we have managed to stay in touch even after being busy with different things in life. This year I won’t be able to make it to my hometown to celebrate Rakhi with my sister, and when Ashnoor surprised me on the sets, I couldn’t have been happier. I feel very protective towards her like any brother, and she will always be my little sister. In 2019, Kaur scored 93% in her class 10 CBSE board exams, followed by 94% in her class 12 exams in 2021. Kaur began her career at the age of five, portraying Prachi in the 2009 series Jhansi Ki Rani. In 2010, she played Panna in Saath Nibhaana Saathiya on StarPlus. She later portrayed Navika Vyas Bhatnagar in the television series Na Bole Tum Na Maine Kuch Kaha and Na Bole Tum Na Maine Kuch Kaha 2. She then played the role of young Mayra Kapoor in Bade Achhe Lagte Hain, appeared in CID, and portrayed Ashok Sundari in the mythological series Devon Ke Dev...Mahadev. Kaur portrayed the young Naira Singhania in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai,Dushala in Mahabharat, and Princess Vilas in Prithvi Vallabh. Kaur appeared in Anurag Kashyap's film Manmarziyaan as Taapsee Pannu 's sister. From 2018 to 2020, she portrayed Mini Babita/Khurana in Sony TV's Patiala Babes after which she took a break. From 2024, she is portraying Suman Sharma in Colors TV's Suman Indori, opposite Zain Imam after a three year television hiatus. Rohan Mehra pens a lovely message for ‘behna’ Ashnoor Kaur; writes, ‘In you, I found the most adorable little sister anyone can ask for’
On May 3, Ashnoor Kaur celebrated her 18th birthday with family and close friends including Rohan Mehra, Surabhi-Samriddhi, Siddharth Nigam, Palak Sidhwani, Jannat Zubair and others.Social media was flooded with pictures and video from her birthday bash on the day.
Later on May 4, Rohan Mehra made an adorable post for Ashnoor. He shared a lovely picture with the young actress on his Instagram story and penned a heartwarming message for her. The picture that Rohan shared shows him kissing Ashnoor on the forehead while they stand against the beautiful balloon decoration.
Rohan, who considers Ashnoor as his sister in real life too, wrote, “Mere chhoti si pyaari si behna.... just turned 18! You were 10 when the universe brought you to me. In you, I found the most adorable little sister anyone can ask for. from a tiny girl to a lovely young lady, I have witnessed you growing, shining and conquering. For the unversed, Rohan and Ashnoor worked together in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. The former played Akshara and Naitik’s son ‘Naksh’ and the latter essayed the role of their daughter ‘Naira’. In the video, the reel brother-sister duo radiated joy as they danced the night away, encapsulating the euphoria of live music.Their infectious energy and camaraderie added a sprinkle of sweetness to the already magical evening, showcasing not only their on-screen chemistry but also their off-screen friendship.

Fans revealed in witnessing their adorable bond beyond the screen. Ashnoor and Rohan, known for their roles as Naira and Naksh in "Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai," maintain their sibling bond off-screen. They were a part of the show from 2015-16. Even after leaving the show, Ashnoor celebrates Rakshabandhan every year with Rohan, showcasing their enduring camaraderie beyond the screen.
