Dr K.M Kapoor, head of Cosmetic Surgery department, Fortis hospital, Mohali talks about the advantages of liposuction and lipolysis to get rid of body fat
If despite dieting and exercise, there are still stubborn areas of fat that aren't going away, Liposuction can be the solution for you. Liposuction is a procedure that can help sculpt the body by removing unwanted fat from specific areas, including the abdomen, hips, buttocks, thighs, knees, upper arms, chin, cheeks and neck. Youngsters, who are conscious about the way they look and have the spending power should opt for it, says Dr Kapoor, who lets us know more about Liposuction and Lipopysis.
How is body sculpting done?
Earlier, liposuction was the only option. With recent technology, lipolysis is also a good option to remove unwanted body fat from the abdomen, hips, thighs, buttocks, love handles, banana folds, upper arms, double chin and male breast enlargement. In the case of male breast enlargement, lipolysis works if it is due to fat deposition. But it shows effect in a longer time as compared to liposuction, says Dr Kapoor.
How does liposuction work?
Liposuction is performed to remove unwanted localised deposits of fat cells from the body. The procedure is done for stubborn, diet- and exercise-resistant fat deposits and to sculpt the body into a slimmer profile. The procedure is also known as Body Contouring. The result is a re-sculpting of bulging areas into more attractive contours.
How is lipolysis and liposuction done?
Lipolysis is done medically; the drug phosphatadylcholine is painlessly injected into the fat deposited area. Several sittings are required to achieve results and this method works well in areas like the abdomen where there is a large amount of fat deposition. It doesn't hospitalisation.
Where as, in case of liposuction, one-day hospitalisation is a must. But this procedure doesn't require various sittings to deliver results. Surgeon
Dawood Ibrahim
Indian criminal and terrorist (born 1955)
Dawood Ibrahim (; born 26 December 1955) is an Indian mobboss, drug lord, and terrorist. He reportedly heads the Indian organised crime syndicate D-Company, which he founded in Mumbai in the 1970s. Ibrahim is wanted on charges including murder, extortion, targeted killing, drug trafficking, and terrorism.
He was designated a global terrorist by India and the United States in 2003, with a reward of US$25 million on his head for his suspected role in the 1993 Bombay bombings. In 2011, he was named number two on "The World's 10 Most Wanted Fugitives" by the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation and fourth on Forbes'. In 2020, the Pakistani government listed Dawood and 87 others in its sanction list in order to avoid FATF sanctions. He has been reported to live in Karachi, Pakistan, though the government of Pakistan denies it.
Early life
Dawood Ibrahim was born on 26 December 1955 to a Konkani family in Khed in Maharashtra, India. His father, Ibrahim Kaskar, worked as a head constable with the Mumbai Police and his mother, Amina Bi, was a homemaker. He lived in the area of Dongri, Mumbai and attended Ahmed Sailor High School, from which he dropped out.
Criminal career
Dawood started committing fraud, theft and robbery while still in his teens. Eventually, he joined the gang of local gangster and don Baashu Dada, part of the local organised crime syndicate. In the late 1970s, he later split from the gang, creating his own gang with his elder brother Shabir Ibrahim Kaskar. After Shabir was killed by the rival Pathan gang, he became the sole boss of his gang, known as the D-Company. He was then chiefly involved in gold smuggling, real estate, extortion and drug trafficking. He fled from Meet Yasir Hussain: unlike others of his generation, he wants to do more than just act — he wants to write as well. Be it film, television or theatre, Yasir is making his mark and is considered as one of the better comedic actors at present. Like the great Moin Akhtar, he is good at hosting ceremonies, performing skits and playing any character at the drop of the hat. “What started out as a means to become rich later became a way to avoid bad scripts,” said Yasir, explaining his love for writing. “When I started acting in Islamabad, actors were paid Rs 500 and writers were paid Rs 1,000 by the NGOs who backed the project. In order to generate a stable income, I started to write. Later when I was offered to act in TV plays; I couldn’t stand some of the scripts and decided to use my writing skills to avoid working in substandard stuff.” Yasir, however, doesn’t like to be called Moin Akhtar’s successor although he has co-hosted events like Lux Style Awards and the opening ceremony of the Pakistan Super League recently. “Moin sahib was one of the greatest performers Pakistan has ever produced. If I can perform even a little bit like him, I would consider that an achievement," he reveals. "I still have a long way to go to be known just as an actor, being called the greatest comedian’s successor will shift my attention from doing quality work.” The journey to success hasn’t been an easy one for him. From changing his base to Karachi (from Islamabad) to struggling as a VJ on a local music channel, he has been there and done that. “I want to be known as an actor who can write,” he said, “I love acting but feel that writing scripts is fun and challenging at the same time and that’s why I charge more for writing!” The talented artist elaborates on his work in film. “In Ho Mann Jahaan, portions of my script were retained,” he said, “Lahore Se Aagey and Band To Ab Bajay Ga are my upcoming pro This is a dynamic list and may never be able to satisfy particular standards for completeness.
